Jack Wolf

Co-Founder, Starlight Stable and Founder, the TAA

A longtime racing fan, Jack Wolf is a Louisville-native and worked as a professor then as a hedge fund manager with Columbus Partners in Atlanta before retiring to focus on horse racing. Alongside his wife, Laurie, he founded Starlight Stables in 2000 and was met with success straight out of the gate – from their first crop of six yearlings, they campaigned multiple Grade 1 winner Harlan’s Holiday. Since then, Starlight Racing has grown into one of the premier partnerships in horse racing and has enjoyed success at the highest level.

Jack also orchestrated the launch of the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) which was the first broad-based industry initiative dedicated to helping retired Thoroughbreds. The TAA still leads the industry in thoroughbred aftercare oversight.
