Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Joins Empire of Hope Day Celebration at Horseshoe Indianapolis

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LEXINGTON, KY — Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will be on-site at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Saturday, June 6, 2026, for Empire of Hope, an annual Caesars Entertainment Racing initiative supporting aftercare.

Launched in 2019, Empire of Hope brings together racetracks across the Caesars Entertainment Racing portfolio to raise awareness of and support Thoroughbred and Standardbred aftercare organizations supporting racehorses following their racing careers. During the event, Horseshoe Indianapolis will feature organizations including Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, New Vocations Racehorse Adoption, Race for Aftercare, Horse-Angels, Inc., Friends of Ferdinand, Second Stride, Tri State Thoroughbred, and Rehab and Rehome.

As part of the day’s activities, Horseshoe Indianapolis will honor Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance with a named race. A winner’s circle presentation will follow, featuring a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance blanket and gift bag presented to the winning connections. A check presentation will be made following the race in support of accredited aftercare.

“Empire of Hope is an initiative started by all racetracks under the Caesars Entertainment umbrella and we are now in our ninth year hosting the annual event,” said Eric Halstrom, Vice President and General Manager of Racing. “We are proud to partner with so many great organizations that place horses after their racing careers are completed. We really enjoy bringing these groups out for Empire of Hope each year to help elevate awareness and support from our local racing community.”

In addition, Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will host an on-site booth alongside other participating organizations, offering fans an opportunity to learn more about accredited aftercare. The booth will feature branded merchandise and provide a channel for visitors to make contributions in support of aftercare initiatives.
