Lone Star Park to Spotlight Aftercare with VIP Experience and Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance Named Race

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LEXINGTON, KY — Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance will be on-site at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie on Saturday, June 27, 2026, highlighted by a VIP experience and a named race in support of accredited Thoroughbred aftercare.

The VIP experience, won by longtime Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance supporter Veronica Carranza, was donated by Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie and auctioned through Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance’s annual Off to the Races online auction, benefiting accredited Thoroughbred aftercare. The package included a VIP race-day experience during the Summer Turf Festival along with a named race for the winning bidder.

“This will be my fourth Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance VIP experience. Each has provided a meaningful opportunity to attend major racing events from premium seating while supporting the organization’s mission. I look forward to this next one and the opportunity to share an unforgettable experience with some great people,” said Veronica Carranza, winner of the Lone Star Park VIP package. “I have great respect for Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and all they do for retired racehorses. I have visited farms they support and seen dedicated caretakers and the high standard of care they provide. These experiences have only strengthened my commitment to supporting this important organization.”

Lone Star Park will honor Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and VIP winner Veronica Carranza with a named race in her honor on Saturday’s race card. A winner’s circle presentation will follow, featuring a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance blanket and gift bag presented to the winning horse’s connections.

“Lone Star Park is pleased to partner with Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and recognize its commitment to retired racehorses through a named race and VIP experience,” said Bart Lang, Director of Racing Operations at Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie. “Aftercare is a vital part of Thoroughbred racing, and we are proud to support the organizations and individuals dedicated to providing racehorses with quality care and opportunities beyond the track.”
