MyRacehorse, an investment platform that allows individuals to purchase micro shares of Thoroughbred racehorses, will pledge $1 to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance for each micro share sold in its marketplace.

MyRacehorse is the first of its kind experiential investment platform allowing fans the opportunity to purchase an equity stake in a racehorse for as little as $100 using the MyRacehorse app or website. All investments are securities compliant and entitle the investor to an equity position in a racehorse but also provide access to exclusive ownership content and experiences including barn tours, updates directly from the trainer, and exclusive race day events. MyRacehorse is only offered to California residents who are 18 and older at this time. More information can be found at MyRacehorse.com.

“There was never a doubt that our business would be involved in the aftercare of Thoroughbreds, it is too important to every one of us involved, the only question was how. After meeting with the team at the TAA and better understanding their role in the aftercare of Thoroughbreds, we knew we found a perfect fit,” MyRacehorse co-founder Michael Behrens said. “For every investment made on our racehorse ownership platform we will be making a donation to the TAA and feel extremely confident those dollars will be fully maximized under the TAA’s stewardship.”

“The TAA is thrilled to be the beneficiary of MyRacehorse, and we are happy to see new owners make aftercare a priority,” TAA president John Phillips said. “Not only will these funds help support the TAA network of 64 accredited organizations in North America, but this pledge will help educate new members about the importance of accredited Thoroughbred aftercare.”
