Jeffrey Burch

Senior Vice President Advertising – NTRA Advantage

Jeff joined NTRA Advantage in June 2015 after serving 10 years as the Vice President of Advertising Sales and Marketing for the Daily Racing Form. Key responsibilities include developing strong relationships across the Equine world, from Thoroughbreds to Quarter horses, the USEF, AQHA, and numerous other Equine associations.  Translating those relationships into savings for Equine members from the likes of John Deere and Nationwide Insurance, while generating revenues back to the various Associations.

He has a deep background in enthusiast publishing, marketing and sales.  Prior to joining NTRA and Daily Racing Form he served as Advertising Director for Advertising Age, VP Corporate Sales for Petersen Publishing which had hundreds of titles ranging from sports to automotive, hunting to surfing.  In these roles he was instrumental in developing cross platform programs including print, web, event, television, and custom publishing projects for a broad range of advertising partners.  Earlier in his career he was Associate Publisher/Advertising at Cosmopolitan and the Publisher of House Beautiful while at Hearst Magazines.  He also spent 10 years at People Magazine in sales and sales management.

Burch is a graduate of The University of Connecticut, holds an MBA in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New York and is a frequent guest lecturer at New York University, Fordham and other colleges in both graduate and under graduate programs. He is also sits on the Board of Directors of Old Friends in Georgetown Kentucky.

Burch joined the TAA Advisory Board in August 2015.  “I was honored to be asked to join this important association.  Caring for our splendid athletes after their racing careers are over, or even if they do not make it to the track, is an obligation for everyone involved with Thoroughbreds.  TAA provides guidance and accreditation for a broad spectrum of organizations to complete the job of aftercare for our industry.”
