David L. Foley

Executive director for the American Association of Equine Practitioners

David L. Foley currently serves as the executive director for the American Association of Equine Practitioners, where he began working in 1988.  Initially serving in a variety of positions within the AAEP, he was promoted to executive director in 2000.  A native of Louisville, KY, David is a 1985 graduate of the University of Kentucky, with a B.S. in Agricultural Economics. 

David is active within the equine, veterinary, and association communities and has served on numerous committees for a variety of organizations, including the American Horse Council, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association and as a Board member for PATH, Intl. (formerly, the North American Riding for the Handicapped).  David is currently Vice President for the Racetrack Chaplaincy of America, has served on the advisory board for the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance since its inception, and as a Past President of both the American Society of Veterinary Medical Association Executives and the Kentucky Society of Association Executives. 

He and his wife Wendi live in Lexington, KY and have two adult children, Chase and Katie.
