Topline Communications

I have been involved with the TAA since its inception and currently serve on the Advisory Board and the Communications Committee.

The TAA has been a formidable catalyst in uniting and educating all facets of the Thoroughbred industry on the subject of aftercare. Through its accreditation protocols and requirements, it has set – and in many cases raised – the standard of care that retiring racehorses receive from aftercare organizations. It has also created the first fundraising mechanism that successfully draws from the most common transactions in which breeders, owners, trainers, and others profit from Thoroughbreds, including stud fees, foal registration, public sales, and racing. The result of this is that millions of dollars have been raised and distributed to organizations helping to ensure a successful transition from the racetrack to second careers and productive lives for thousands of Thoroughbreds each year.
